WELLINGTON: An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.9 hit New Zealand’s Kermadec Islands on Saturday at 06:41 GMT, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
According to initial reports, the epicenter, with a depth of 151.6 km, was witnessed to be 29.874 degrees at the south latitude and 178.431 degrees west longitude. No reports of casualties were received till the filling of the report.
