14 Killed in Ukrainian Army Strike on Hospital in Lugansk: Moscow

MOSCOW: Russia’s ministry of defense has accused the Ukrainian army of striking a hospital in the Lugansk region, leaving 14 dead and injuring 24 others, media reported on Saturday.

The ministry of defense said that “the Ukrainian army deliberately attacked a district hospital in Novoaidar” with a US-made HIMARS multiple-launch rocket system.

The statement added that 14 people were killed and 24 injured among the “hospital patients and medical staff.”

It further said that the hospital has been providing “essential medical aid to the locals and military personnel for many months.”

The ministry said that a deliberate missile attack on a known civilian medical facility is, a grave war crime by Ukraine. Kyiv did not comment on the claim of Moscow.
