LONDON: Political stalwart and one of the leading party members in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, Syed Zulfiqar Bukhari came out strong against the transaction of 190 million pounds sent by the National Crime Agency (NCA).
On December 3, 2019, the UK’s NCA announced a £190 million out-of-court civil settlement with a property tycoon from Pakistan. It was the largest settlement ever made by the NCA, which added that the outcome “did not represent a finding of guilt”.

“I have nothing to do with the transaction and my name came up in the Al Qadir Trust as the land was transferred on my name before the trust was formed.”
“The land was a donation and since the trust was not formed Chairman PTI asked me to transfer the land in my name so that the construction work could be started. The Trust was formed a month and half later.”
Answering a question, Bukhari said, “If there is any discrepancy in the transfer of land be it an inch, I should be asked but the land that was transferred in my name was subsequently transferred to the trust when it was formed.”
He condemned the May 9 incident and added Chairman PTI not once but repeatedly condemned the incident and his decades of political struggle depicts that he has led the party following a non-violent way. He has always called for a dialogue and this can be seen in May 25 incident where PTI workers were baton charged and tear gassed.
It is strange as how a person can initiate an incident of May 9, burning Corps Commander House (Jinnah House) when he is locked up in custody. PTI believes in protecting even the street vendors with carts and won’t harm them.
Pakistan biggest reality in one way or the other is the Army and it is also a reality that Imran Khan with his political struggle has become a global icon and all propaganda over the time has fallen flat.
These two realities without having a dialogue can’t make Pakistan move forward and what happened after his removal from office needs no explanation.
It is a fact that Imran Khan over the years has ramped up on the ladder of popularity and has a stature of global statesman. It is time the two realities should sit down and take Pakistan out of quagmire, he added.
