KYIV: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Friday that he will meet with US President Joe Biden later this month to present his “victory plan” for ending the ongoing war with Russia.

Zelensky made the announcement at an international conference in Kyiv but did not provide specific details on the plan. He described it as a “system of interconnected solutions” designed to shift the conflict toward peace.

The meeting comes as Biden is set to discuss with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer the potential of allowing Ukraine to use Western-provided long-range missiles to strike inside Russia.

Zelensky’s plan aims to provide Ukraine with enough leverage to push for a resolution to the conflict, which has lasted more than two and a half years.

Furthermore, Zelensky revealed plans to host an international peace summit in November, where Russia will be invited to participate. This follows a recent Ukrainian incursion into Russia’s Kursk region, which Zelensky indicated was intended to pressure Moscow into fair negotiations.
