NEW YORK: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on Tuesday asked world leaders to unite against Russian attack on Kyiv and demanded Moscow to stop the war in order to address the global challenges.

Speaking at the UN General Assembly he said Ukraine was making all efforts to counter the Russian aggression and as well as to ensure that no other country can dare to attack any other state in future.

Weaponization must be stopped

He stressed that weaponization must be stopped and war crimes must be punished. He went on to say that displaced people must come back home and the occupiers must go back to their own land.

He alleged Russia was manipulating global food markets to seek global recognition of the area it seized from Kyiv.

Zelensky also spoke about the climate crisis and natural disasters and also discussed recent earthquake in Morocco and floods in Libya.

“We have to stop it. We must act united to defeat the aggressor and focus all our capabilities and energy on addressing these challenges,” he told the General Assembly.
