Zaman Khan Joined Team in Colombo
Zaman Khan joined the team this morning (Wednesday) and will train with the squad at the RPICS in the evening. Shahnawaz Dahani, who was called after Haris Rauf got injured, will join the team tomorrow.
Haris Rauf, the Pakistan fast bowler who did not bowl on the reserve day against India as a precaution, is still recovering after experiencing soreness in his right side on the first day of the match.
Team doctor Sohail Saleem said that both Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah are our assets, and the team’s medical panel will provide them with the best possible care ahead of the all-important World Cup.
The PCB called up Zaman Khan and Shahnawaz Dahani a day ago after Shah and Rauf picked up their injuries.
Pakistan Cricket Board stated that it was “only a precautionary measure taking into consideration the players’ fitness and well-being ahead of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in October.”
