ISLAMABAD: The federal government of Pakistan has appointed Zaka Ashraf as the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee. The decision was approved by the federal cabinet through a summary circulation on Wednesday.
The newly formed 10-member committee will be responsible for overseeing the affairs of the PCB for a period of four months. Alongside the appointment of Zaka Ashraf as chairman, Mahmood Iqbal Khakwani has been named as the new PCB Chief Election Commissioner, replacing Ahmed Shahzad Farooq Rana.
The formation of the new management committee comes as the Federal Cabinet gave its approval through a summary circulation. The committee will address various issues concerning the PCB, including matters related to the International Cricket Council (ICC).
PCB’s New Management Committee
The 10-member management committee includes Kaleemullah Khan, Ashfaq Akhtar, Mossadegh Islam, Azmat Parvez, Zaheer Abbas, Khurram Soomro, Khawaja Nadeem, Mustafa Ramde, and Zulfikar Malik.
Previously, the affairs of the Pakistan Cricket Board were managed by Najam Sethi, but the Pakistan People’s Party proposed Zaka Ashraf as the Chairman of PCB.
