KARACHI: YouTube, the world-renowned streaming platform, has announced the debut of “YouTube Music” and “YouTube Premium” in Pakistan.
The online streaming company, in a statement, said that YouTube Premium is a paid membership that provides the ultimate ad-free watching experience on YouTube.
The new app offers users an ad-free viewing experience, background plays for switching between applications or listening to lectures and other instructive videos, downloads of their favorite shows, and content creators for lengthy flights or commutes with limited access, and an ad-free viewing experience.
A music streaming app that provides an immersive listening experience is YouTube Music. It is a reinvented, created-for-music app and online player containing official songs, albums, playlists, and artist radio, in addition to YouTube’s enormous collection of remixes, covers, music videos, and live performances.
Users can stay connected to the music industry, find their favorite songs, listen to the most recent hits, and find a tone of new music to enjoy on their devices with the help of this app.
While all of this is accessible for free in the YouTube Music with Ads edition, users can choose to have an ad-free music experience by joining YouTube Music Premium, a component of YouTube Premium. Background play, YouTube Music downloads, and an ad-free listening experience are all included in the premium version of YouTube Music.
According to Google’s Director for Pakistan, Farhan S. Qureshi, over 400 channels in Pakistan have more than 1 million members, a rise of more than 35% from the previous year, while over 6,000 channels have more than 100,000 subscribers, an increase of more than 30% of the prior year.
He said, “Wow, that’s a significant number! This makes me even more eager for YouTube to join this rapidly expanding ecosystem, to keep partnering with Pakistan’s creative sector, and to help more Pakistani artists expand their fan bases through the use of YouTube Premium and YouTube Music. More local artists are sharing their works and creations on YouTube, such as music video premieres, YouTube exclusive material, and featured song lists. They are growing their fan bases internationally as the best entertainment services arrive in Pakistan.”
Consumers may purchase YouTube Premium for Rs479 each month with a subscription to YouTube Music Premium. They can also sign up for the Premium Family Plan, which allows them to share their Premium membership with up to 5 additional family members, starting at Rs. 899.00 monthly. In the meantime, the Music Premium Family Plan starts at Rs479, and YouTube Music Premium is available for Rs299.
Students can also sign up for the Premium Student Plan available for Rs329, and Music Student Plan available at Rs149. A special introductory offer of 1 month of free YouTube Premium or YouTube Music Premium is available to eligible subscribers. The Google Play and iOS App Store offer the YouTube Music app for download.
