ISLAMABAD: Kazakhstan’s ambassador to Pakistan, Yerzhan Kistafin, said on Friday that youth played an important role in building bridges and fostering relationships between the two sides.
He said during the prize and certificate-giving ceremony for the essay competition “Knowing Kazakhstan” that engaging youth in meaningful talks and inviting them to contribute the latest thoughts might help Pakistan and Kazakhstan reach extraordinary heights of collaboration.
Pakistan- Kazakhstan Relations
The competition was recently organized by the Kazakhstan Embassy in Pakistan and the Centre for Central Asia and Eurasian Studies, Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies on the occasion of the 30th-anniversary celebrations of relations between the two countries.
According to a press statement issued by the embassy of Kazakhstan, the goal was to develop a deeper understanding and bilateral cooperation among their people, especially young students.
During the occasion, Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin gave his thoughts regarding Pakistan-Kazakhstan ties as well as the most recent updates and advancements. He also emphasized the need of an engaging youth in meaningful talks and inviting them to share their latest thoughts.
The competition was won by Zulqarnain Khan of Bahira University Islamabad, who received a return flight ticket. Umm, e Salma of the University of Sargodha took second place and received a smartphone, while Taj Mir Khan of the University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar took third place and received a tablet. Certificates were also handed to the essay competition contestants.
