SANA, Yemen: Yemen’s Houthi have declared a continued maritime blockade targeting Israeli vessels, claiming intelligence suggests that Israeli shipping companies are transferring assets to avoid sanctions.

Arab media reports, Yahya Sarea, a Houthi spokesperson, announced the group’s commitment to preventing Israeli-linked vessels from entering their control zones.

According to Sarea, any attempts by Israeli shipping firms to alter ownership structures will be disregarded by the Houthis, who view such changes as illegitimate.

This blockade by the Houthis is part of their broader stance to support Hamas and Hezbollah against Israeli atrocities in Gaza and Lebanon.

Sarea further stated that the Houthis would maintain this blockade until there is an end to Israeli operations in Gaza and Lebanon.

The Houthi position reflects the complex and escalating regional dynamics, especially as various Middle Eastern factions express solidarity with Palestinian amid ongoing conflict.
