In the same video, Trudeau can also cheerfully respond to the Chinese President’s criticism by saying, “I believe in dialogue in a free and open environment.”

This is the first time that a Chinese President has publicly expressed his feelings in this way. Later, at the end of the meeting, the two leaders shook hands and left.

According to Western media, the two leaders discussed China’s alleged interference in Canadian elections. On the other hand, according to a foreign media report, the scheduled meeting between the Chinese President and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak was canceled after this situation. Earlier, the British Prime Minister was advised by the officials not to be soft in the talks with the Chinese President.
