New York:  Social media platform X, formerly Twitter, plans to create a trading hub inside the application for its users.

Reuters while quoting Semafor reported that the company has sent requests to big providers in recent weeks seeking proposals on financial content and stock data.

Elon Musk’s X asked the bidders to inform the social media giant how much they would commit to the proposed project.

On the hand owner of X platform said he was unaware of any such development.

Last year Elon Musk’s takeover Twitter was seen as a major step towards the development of X, a company he founded in 1999, which later became PayPal.

When Musk bought the company, he introduced a $8 blue subscription fee so that the users could access special features.

Later he halted the program for a short period after problems were faced by the people buying tick marks including celebrities and businessmen.
