ISLAMABAD: The Iranian Embassy in Pakistan has observed World Quds Day, a day dedicated to showing solidarity with the Palestinian people and their struggle against Israeli occupation. In this connection, the Iranian embassy organized an event in the federal capital Islamabad on Thursday.
“We all know very well that 75 years ago, an anti-Islamic and anti-human project called “Zionism” was launched by global arrogance with the aim of de-Islamizing the Holy Land of Palestine,” said Reza Amiri Moghadam, the Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan, while Addressing the event.
In his address, the ambassador highlighted the roots of World Quds Day. Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam condemned the egregious atrocities committed by the Israel in Gaza Strip in the past six months.
He decried the brutal killings of innocent civilians, including women, children, and journalists, as well as attacks on medical facilities and relief efforts. He said that the unwavering support of the United States for Israel makes it complicit in these crimes against humanity.
Despite the challenges faced by the Palestinian people, Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam expressed admiration for their resilience and determination in the face of adversity. He condemned Israel’s retaliatory actions against supporters of the resistance, including cross-border assassinations and attacks on diplomatic premises.
He said that Israel has failed against the laudable will of the people of Gaza and therefore has put revenge on the supporters of the resistance in their agenda. Carrying out cross-border assassinations, sabotage operations and attacks on diplomatic premises are all caused by the frustration and anger of this accursed entity, added he.
The ambassador praised the efforts of the Pakistani government, diplomatic representatives, and the people of Pakistan in raising awareness and advocating for justice for Palestine. He expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s steadfast support for the Palestinian cause in international forums.
