LAHORE: Pakistan’s former foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Tuesday said that the repeated atrocities and human rights violation, particularly against minorities, has exposed the so-called Indian democracy as the recent incident when Canada accused India of involvement in the killing of a separatist Sikh leader on its soil, has made the scenario vivid and clear adding that it was time for the international community to accept that India had become a “rogue Hindutva terrorist state”.

While talking to the media on Tuesday, the former foreign minister said that Canada had levelled serious and major allegations against India that also exposed the so-called Indian democratic state to the world.

The Chairman PPP further stated that in the past the West ignored such acts of India, however, it was time for the international community to accept that India has become a rogue Hindutva terrorist state.

Earlier on June 18, the 45-year-old separatist leader, Hardeep Singh Nijjar, was shot dead outside a Sikh temple in Surrey, a Vancouver suburb, having a populated Sikh community. Nijjar supported a Sikh homeland in the form of an independent Khalistan state and was declared by India as a “terrorist” in July 2020.

Subsequently, in a statement from Canada, yesterday, it was stated that the Canadian government was “actively pursuing credible allegations” of having links by Indian government agents in the murder of the Sikh separatist leader.

Canadian PM Levels Serious Allegations Against India

Meanwhile, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said in an emergency statement to the House of Commons that any foreign involvement in the killing of a Canadian citizen was “an unacceptable violation of our sovereignty”.

Later Canada expelled India’s top intelligence agent and accused it of a role in the murder of a Sikh separatist leader. In response, India also announced to expel a Canadian diplomat with five days’ notice to leave the country.

Further commenting on the issue Bilawal said that it was obvious India not only conducted terrorism in [occupied] Kashmir, but its spies have caught in Pakistan being involved in terrorism in the country. However now India has been caught violating the sovereignty of a NATO-member state, he said

“This is not only a violation of Canadian sovereignty, but that of the international law and international norms as well, Bilawal said adding that Pakistan should stress upon the international community to stand with the people and government of Canada and highlight the atrocities of the religio-fascist India to the world.
