ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Minister for Planning and Development, Ahsan Iqbal, said on Saturday that the international community wanted to invest in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project, adding that Pakistan has become a center of focus for the entire world because of the CPEC project.
Addressing a ceremony in Kasur, Pakistan, the minister said that the government is making tireless efforts to put Pakistan on the road to progress, development, and prosperity. The minister said that Pakistan, in the past, had eliminated terrorism from the country with the support of the country’s armed forces and restored peace in the country.
CPEC project and global economy
The minister said they are making efforts to enhance the country’s economy on a strong foundation to secure a place for it among the world’s twenty developed economies in 2030.
Ahsan Iqbal said they want to provide a great platform to the talented youth of Pakistan so that the country could get a status among the first ten strong economies of the globe till 2047.
The minister said they should learn a lesson from the past and history and compare their efficiency with other countries worldwide.
