Riyadh: The World Energy Council has announced Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) as the official host of the 27th World Energy Congress to be held from 26 to 29 October 2026, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Thursday.
According to the SPA, the World Energy Congress will be held at the Riyadh Front Centre, strategically located in the vibrant heart of the capital city and at the centre of one of the world’s most significant energy regions.
The SPA reported that the award follows a very competitive bidding procedure open to all the Council’s 70+ national member committees representing over 3,000 organizations across the whole energy ecosystem. The World Energy Congress, the global most prestigious, influential and inclusive energy event, has helped drive energy transitions forward for over a century by bringing together all stakeholders representing energy interests from across the world, the SPA maintained.

According to the SPA, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) will officially become host of the World Energy Congress after the upcoming 26th World Energy Congress, taking place in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) will host a country pavilion at this prestigious event. After the April 2024 World Energy Congress, the Congress will move to a two-year cycle.
