ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) sent a letter to the International Cricket Council (ICC) over the delay in the visa processing issue for Pakistani fans and journalists for the ICC World Cup 2023, a media outlet reported on Saturday.

According to details the PCB wrote a formal letter to the ICC and sought intervention regarding the process of India’s visa for Pakistani nationals including fans and journalists who wanted to travel to India to attend the World Cup 2023 event.

The letter further stated that the lack of clarity regarding the Indian visa policy created serious concern among Pakistani cricket fans and media personnel, who are eager to attend and cover the ICC mega event in India.

However, the sources within the PCB expressed optimism that the ICC and relevant authorities would work together to sort out the issue soon.

India’s Visa Policy

It is worth noting here that a few days back, Pakistan Cricket Team’s player also faced the issue of delay in their visa process and the issue was reported in the media. Later the issue was resolved. Both Pakistan and India are arch-rival in cricket and have continued political tension mostly reflected during sports events.
