Workers Welfare Fund Completes Labor Complex in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The Workers Welfare Fund (WWF), under the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, has finalized a labor complex in Zone-V, comprising 1008 flats and 500 houses, to accommodate registered workers from Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

According to an official source, the WWF is dedicatedly addressing the needs of workers, with labor complexes in Peshawar and Islamabad being integral parts of their initiatives.

The newly completed Workers Welfare Labor Colony Phase-I spans 1476 kanals of land and features essential amenities such as a mosque, industrial home, community center, and utility store, enhancing the quality of life for industrial workers.

Responding to queries, the official highlighted the successful achievement of sending one million workers abroad under various agreements this year, along with a notable increase in remittances, signifying the effectiveness of the WWF’s endeavors in supporting Pakistani workers at home and abroad.
