DHAKA: A grade-I strain in the right quad has ruled Pakistan’s cricketer Muneeba Ali out of the 2nd One Day International (ODI) against Bangladesh.

The left-handed batter experiences discomfort in her right quad in the field during the first ODI against Bangladesh women at the Shere Bangla Stadium on Saturday.

The assessment conducted by the team physio and by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) medical panel determined that the 26-year-old wicketkeeper-batter suffered a grade-I strain. Muneeba’s availability for the third ODI on 10 November will be made following an assessment of her match fitness.

Pakistan lead the three-match ODI series 1-0, after securing a five-wicket victory over the hosts in Saturday’s contest. The ODI series is a part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2022-25. —APP
