LONDON: A dog attack killed a woman and wounded another in southeastern England on Thursday, police said.
The Surrey police said in a statement that one woman in her 20s was pronounced dead at the scene, despite efforts to save her life.
Officers were called to Caterham town in Surrey at 2:45 pm after the reports emerged that a dog is attacking people.
A second woman who suffered dog bites was shifted to hospital and her condition was non-critical.
Dogs in custody
Police said that they have taken a total of 7 dogs at the scene and they are in police custody.
Chief Inspector Alan Sproston said that the investigations to establish the circumstances of the incident were underway and we would request the community not to speculate.
