Wife of Vietnam Envoy Recovered After Brief Disappearance

ISLAMABAD: The wife of the Vietnam Ambassador to Pakistan Nguyen Tien Phong has been found after a brief disappearance from Islamabad, the capital of the country.

Earlier today, the Vietnamese ambassador to Pakistan, Nguyen Tien Phong, contacted the police emergency hotline 15 to report his wife’s disappearance.

Following this, Pakistan’s Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, took note of the situation and instructed the Inspector General of Police in Islamabad to take all necessary steps to ensure the safe recovery of the ambassador’s wife.

The Interior Minister is maintaining regular communication with the IG Islamabad regarding the incident.

According to the Vietnamese envoy statement recorded to the police, his wife left for the beauty salon three hours ago and has neither arrived at the salon nor returned home and her phone is unreachable.

The police, under the jurisdiction of the Margalla Police Station, initiated a search operation with the assistance of Safe City cameras and found her after brief disappearance.
