ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has emphasized that there is a wide potential of cooperation between Pakistan and Russia in diverse sectors.
Radio Pakistan reported that talking to Speaker of Federation Council of Russian Federal Assembly Ms. Valentina Matvienko in Islamabad, the PM noted that the recent trips by the Russian leadership are a positive sign for the strengthening of ties between Russia and Pakistan.
He also expressed the confidence that Pakistan-Russia Joint Commission meeting to be held in December will also prove to be an important opportunity to extend cooperation between the two nations.
PM Shehbaz Sharif conveyed his best wishes to Russia’s President Vladimir Putin and invited him to visit Pakistan soon.
They discussed strengthening of banking channels for the promotion of investment and trade as well as the creation of a comprehensive road map for trade, economy, and investment between Islamabad and Moscow.
