ADELAIDE: The West Indies were dismissed for just 188 shortly following tea on the 1st day of the opening test match at the Adelaide Oval on Wednesday.

Australia’s captain Pat Cummins and his fast-bowling counterpart Josh Hazlewood teamed up to dismiss West Indies side for 188 within just two sessions.

Despite the resistance shown by number three batter Kirk McKenzie (50) and debutant Shamar Joseph (36), the West Indies batters struggled against the tough fast bowling of world Test and 50-overs champions Australia.

Cummins, with figures of 4-41, showcased leadership with the ball, while Hazlewood equally impressed with a figure of 4-44 for the hosts.
