LOS ANGELES: Pop star Olivia Rodrigo has reignited speculation about her relationship status after being seen dining with her parents in Los Angeles without actor Louis Partridge, amid unconfirmed reports that the couple have split.
The 22-year-old singer was photographed on Saturday, January 17, leaving a restaurant with her parents, Chris and Jennifer Rodrigo.
The outing comes weeks after media reports claimed that Rodrigo and Partridge had quietly gone their separate ways late last year.
Family outing draws attention
Rodrigo appeared subdued during the evening outing. She wore a black thigh-length dress, paired with white knee-high socks and black shoes, and carried a black shoulder bag.
Her father was dressed in a dark blue shirt layered with a denim jacket and beige shorts, while her mother wore wide-leg jeans with a matching light blue shirt.
The family dinner has drawn attention as Partridge, 22, was notably absent, adding to ongoing speculation surrounding the couple’s relationship.
Breakup reports
Reports of a breakup first emerged on December 22, 2025, with claims that the pair had ended their relationship several weeks earlier.
Neither Rodrigo nor Partridge has publicly confirmed the split or issued any statement addressing the rumours.
According to British tabloid The Sun, a source close to the couple said the separation had been difficult.
“They made such a lovely couple so people who know them were shocked,” the source said, adding that Rodrigo was emotional while discussing the situation with friends at a holiday party in London.
Relationship timeline
Rodrigo and Partridge were first romantically linked in October 2023 after being seen together in London.
In the months that followed, they made several public appearances, including attending Z100’s Jingle Ball, a Saturday Night Live afterparty, and the Grammy Awards in February 2024.
They were also seen together at Wimbledon, where photographs of their public display of affection circulated widely, and later attended the Vanity Fair Oscars party and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction ceremony in Los Angeles in November 2025.
Partridge previously spoke about their relationship in an interview with Esquire UK published in September 2025, emphasising the importance of privacy.
“There’s a sanctity to being private,” he said, adding that they had chosen not to be overly public despite Rodrigo’s global fame.
In recent months, Partridge has been absent from several high-profile moments in Rodrigo’s life, including celebrations marking the five-year anniversary of her breakout hit Drivers License.
He was also not seen with her during holiday events, including a party hosted by singer Lily Allen.
Rodrigo later marked the anniversary of Drivers License on Instagram, reflecting on the song’s impact on her career and thanking fans for their continued support.
