LONDON: British media personality Katie Price has put her podcast on hold following intense media scrutiny surrounding her surprise wedding in Dubai to entrepreneur Lee Andrews, according to a statement shared on the show’s official social media accounts.
Price, 47, stunned fans earlier this month when she announced her engagement to Andrews, just days after confirming her split from reality television star JJ Slater, 32.
The couple married shortly afterwards in Dubai, a development that reportedly took even close family members by surprise.
Podcast put on hold
The official Instagram account of The Katie Price Show, which Price co-hosts with her sister Sophie Price, announced the decision to pause the podcast.
“We’re pressing pause on The Katie Price Show podcast for now,” the statement said.
“With so much current media attention, it doesn’t feel right to release an episode at this time. The podcast has always observed the headlines, not added to them.”
The statement thanked listeners for their “continued support and understanding”.

The podcast usually releases new episodes on Thursdays.
British tabloid The Mirror reported that Price had not recorded the most recent episode after returning to the UK from Dubai.
Family tensions
The rapid engagement and wedding reportedly left members of Price’s family shocked.
Her sister Sophie, 36, had earlier told fans to “stay tuned” for a future update but later reshared the statement announcing the podcast pause.
Over the weekend, Sophie appeared to express her disapproval in an Instagram post showing countryside scenery, captioned: “Countryside over Dubai. Always.”
Her husband added an eyes emoji in support.
British media outlets have reported that Price’s family were unaware of the relationship before the wedding and have struggled to understand how events unfolded so quickly.
Andrews’ movements
After the wedding, Price returned to the UK and said she was happy to be home.
Andrews had said he would follow but remained in Dubai longer than expected, prompting speculation online.
Rumours circulated that Andrews was unable to travel due to an alleged prison sentence or unpaid debts linked to a £200,000 loan.
Andrews denied the claims in a statement posted online.
“I don’t know what this is with the debts and lawsuits,” he said.
“My UAE bank account details and latest statement far exceed £200,000, so it makes no sense that I would owe that or be on a travel ban.”
He added that he had been travelling recently and was planning to fly to the UK.
Fresh speculation
Andrews has since shared photos of himself with Price on social media, fuelling speculation about whether the couple are currently together.
Some images appeared to be from their post-wedding spa break, while others suggested a more recent reunion.
British tabloids have also reported claims from Andrews’ former partners, including allegations that he made similar marriage proposals in the past.
Andrews has not publicly responded to those reports.
According to a source quoted by UK media, Price is now considering holding a larger wedding ceremony in the UK, complete with bridesmaids, in an effort to reassure her family following her turbulent relationship history.
