RIYADH: The World Health Organization (WHO) has appointed Dr. Hanan Balkhy from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) as its regional director for the Eastern Mediterranean, after a vote among member nations during the 70th session of the World Health Organization Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean.
