WASHINGTON, USA: The White House on Thursday condemned recent attacks by Jewish settlers on Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, calling the violence “unacceptable.”

This statement followed an incident in the village of Jit, where a 23-year-old Palestinian man was killed, and another was critically injured.

The U.S. National Security Council urged Israeli authorities to protect all communities and hold perpetrators accountable. The Israeli military reported that masked settlers entered Jit, setting fire to vehicles and structures and throwing rocks and Molotov cocktails. Israeli President Isaac Herzog also condemned the attack.
