NEW YORK: Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio and Italian model Vittoria Ceretti were spotted on a casual shopping outing at luxury fashion house Prada in Manhattan, according to photographs taken on Thursday.
The Oscar-winning actor, 51, and the 27-year-old model were seen leaving Prada’s flagship store carrying shopping bags. The outing included members of Ceretti’s family.
Photographs showed DiCaprio wearing a black Prada puffer jacket, khaki cargo trousers and white trainers. He was also seen carrying a lighter jacket in his hand.
Ceretti opted for a brown fur coat, jeans and black trainers, completing her look with a black Nike cap. She was photographed carrying two shopping bags as the pair exited the store.
They were accompanied by Ceretti’s mother, Francesca Lazzari, who wore a plaid coat, and her brother, Guglielmo Ceretti, dressed in a black sweatsuit and beanie. He was also pictured smoking a cigarette.
Keeping a low profile
The outing came shortly after DiCaprio explained why he keeps a low public profile. He has said he prefers to appear in public only when he has something meaningful to say, aiming to avoid overexposure.
The actor adopted this approach after the success of Titanic, saying he wanted to build a long career without audiences growing tired of seeing him frequently.
Relationship in the spotlight
DiCaprio and Ceretti were first linked in 2023. They were recently seen dining at Nobu Malibu with DiCaprio’s longtime friend and fellow actor Tobey Maguire.
Ceretti has occasionally been seen wearing a ring on her wedding finger, though sources have said the couple are not engaged.
In an interview with Vogue France earlier this year, Ceretti said she found it “extremely annoying” to be reduced to being described as DiCaprio’s girlfriend.
Without naming him directly, she referred to him as a “very, very famous movie star” and described Titanic as “iconic”.
She added that their relationship is built on trust. “If what you’re experiencing is real, if you know you love each other, then there’s no reason to be alarmed,” she said.
Relationships and public perception
DiCaprio has long attracted attention for dating younger women, fuelling online speculation about an “under 25 rule” — a claim the actor has dismissed.
A source told The Sun in October that Ceretti is “quite different” from DiCaprio’s previous partners and that she quickly formed a strong bond with his mother, Irmelin Indenbirken.
Ceretti was previously married to Italian DJ Matteo Milleri from 2020 to 2023. DiCaprio’s past relationships include Camila Morrone, Gigi Hadid, Gisele Bündchen, Bar Refaeli, Toni Garrn, Nina Agdal and Blake Lively.
