LOS ANGELES: British actress and model Elizabeth Hurley and American country singer Billy Ray Cyrus are reportedly at the centre of marriage rumours after recently making their relationship public.
The British actress and American country music star made their relationship public on Easter Sunday, sharing a cosy Instagram photograph together in a field.
According to the Daily Mail, marriage could soon be on the cards for the couple.
Despite their contrasting backgrounds, Hurley and Cyrus appear to have found strong common ground.
A friend told The Sun, “Everyone says they’re worlds apart, but they have a lot in common. Billy is, moreover, her type — he’s got that twinkle in his eye and a mischievous streak that she can’t resist.”
If the couple do marry, it would mark Elizabeth Hurley’s second marriage. She was previously married to businessman Arun Nayar in 2007, with the couple divorcing amicably in 2011.
Reflecting on her first marriage in a 2018 interview, Hurley described the separation as one of the “most amicable” divorces.
Meanwhile, Billy Ray Cyrus recently opened up about his relationship with Hurley during an appearance on Apple Music Country’s The Ty Bentli Show.
The singer shared that their bond was rekindled after Hurley reached out with a message of support during a particularly challenging time in his life, calling it a major turning point.
Although they first developed relationship while filming the 2022 movie Christmas in Paradise, Cyrus noted that their chemistry developed naturally over time.
He praised Hurley as “impressively brilliant” and admired her business acumen, even comparing her to legendary country star Dolly Parton — a comparison that reportedly delights Hurley.
The relationship has also been welcomed by Hurley’s son, Damian Hurley, who appeared to hint at his mother’s new romance with a photo shoot at Cyrus’ Nashville, Tennessee farm.
Damian, 23, posted a series of images on Instagram, captioned, “Tennessee you have my hearttt,” and dressed in a chic Ralph Lauren cardigan with light-wash jeans and boots by bales of hay. Hurley herself commented, “We miss you,” suggesting her and Cyrus’ close bond.
According to People Magazine, Hurley has spent several days in Tennessee visiting Cyrus and has embraced the slower pace of life.
A source told the magazine, “Liz’s glam but fits in perfectly in Tennessee too. She spent several days visiting Billy Ray. He loves having her around. She loves his music. And he loves the attention she gives him. They are very different but give off a great vibe together. She’s great for him. He’s been incredibly cheerful.”
The couple’s relationship reportedly blossomed after Hurley reached out during Cyrus’ difficult divorce from Australian singer Firerose.
Speaking on The Ty Bentli Show, Cyrus reflected, “I felt like, ‘Wow, can life get any harder? Can it get any tougher?’ For me, at a certain point it was like, you can’t get knocked down any flatter than laying on your back when life is kicking you. And in this moment … (Hurley) reached out.”
He added, “She gave me something I needed the most — friendship and laughter. If all we ever were is the friends that we are, I would take that. She’s so impressively brilliant. If you can laugh together, you can make it through everything.”
