ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (MET) has forecast dry and cold weather in the country during the next 24 hours.
Foggy weather conditions
Foggy conditions will likely develop over plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during night and morning hours. As per the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of the country.

Air quality
The air quality in Lahore is 198 US AQI; in Bahawalpur, it is 167, 167 in Muridke, 160 in Rawalpindi, and 161 in Sialkot. In Sindh, the air quality in Karachi is 210 US AQI, while Islamabad’s air quality stands at 55. In Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, air quality is 193 in Peshawar and 93 in Abbottabad.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (Met), a maximum of 5 degrees Celsius (°C) temperature was recorded in Islamabad, 9°C in Lahore, 14°C in Karachi, 5.5°C in Peshawar, -1°C in Quetta, and 3°C in Gilgit.
Minimum recorded temperatures
Today’s Recorded Lowest Minimum Temperature (°C): Leh -10, Skardu, Ziarat -07, Astore, Kalam -05, Gupis, Kalat -04, Gilgit, and Quetta -03.
