LONDON: Pakistan Champions have elected to bat first after winning the toss in the final of the World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025 against South Africa Champions at Edgbaston Cricket Ground, Birmingham, on Saturday.

Pakistan team, led by former captain Shahid Afridi, is facing South Africa Champions, led by star batter AB de Villiers.

Pakistan reached the final without playing a semi-final, as the India Champions withdrew from the match due to national sentiments. South Africa, on the other hand, earned their spot after a close win in their semi-final.

AB de Villiers has been playing well in the tournament but only managed to score six runs in the semi-final. He will be hoping to make a strong comeback in this all-important final.

In the group stage, Pakistan finished at the top of the table. They also played in the final last year but lost to India. This time, they’ll be aiming to win the trophy.
