WASHINGTON: The United States (US) supports Pakistan’s efforts to stabilize its economy, including through reaching a deal with the I International Monetary Fund (IMF). Speaking during a press briefing, US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller has said that the Washington supports the progress and development that Pakistan has made to stabilize its economy.
Responding to a question, Matthew Miller stated that the US encourages the Pakistan government to prioritize and expand economic reforms to address its economic issues and challenges.
He further stated that Washington will continue to engage with Islamabad through technical engagements as well as through their trade and investment relations, all of which are priorities of their bilateral relationship.
