WASHINGTON: US President Joe Biden has said that sending Bradley Fighting Vehicles to Kyiv is being considered to help Ukraine against Russia’s attack. Ukraine has been pressing the United States (US) for longer-range missiles, tanks, air defense systems and armor.

The US President was asked during an interaction with journalist while traveling in Kentucky whether giving the tracked armored fighting vehicles to Kyiv was under consideration. He replied “yes,” without offering further remarks.

The Bradley Fighting Vehicles is a medium vehicle that can serve as a force carrier. The vehicle can carry about 10 military personnel. Bradley Fighting Vehicles are still used by the American Army, although it has been looking for a replacement for several years.

The Pentagon had already provided Kyiv with over two thousand combat vehicles, including 477 Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicles and over twelve hundred Humvees.

Biden had announced last month that Washington would for the first time send Kyiv a Patriot missile battery to help repel Russian aerial strikes.
