ISLAMABAD: Washington formally concluded that Moscow has committed “crimes against humanity” during its invasion of Ukraine, US Vice President Kamala Harris said on Saturday.
Kamala Harris expressed these views during Munich Security Conference. She said, “in the case of Russian action in Ukraine, they have examined the evidence, and they know the legal standards and there is no doubt: these are crimes against humanity”. She said that the perpetrators of these crimes will be held accountable.

The US Vice President’s speech comes as top Western leaders met in Munich to evaluate Europe’s worst crisis since World War II.
She claimed Russia was now a “weakened” state following Washington-led alliance to punish Putin for the attack, but Moscow is only intensifying attacks in Ukraine’s east.
Some reports suggest that Kyiv is also planning a spring offensive, for which it seekis additional, longer-range, and heavier weapons from Washington and its Western partners.
