WASHINGTON: The US and China are paving the ground for Chinese leader Xi Jinping to visit Washington, the US media reported on Thursday.
According to the Wall Street Journal (WSJ), the two countries are holding talks and discussing a visit to the US by Xi’s top aide, Chinese Vice Prime Minister He Lifeng.

He Lifeng would be the most top official to visit Washington since US President Biden took office, Reuter reported. As per the report of WSJ, planning is being made for China’s foreign minister Wang Yi to visit the US in October to prepare for a President Xi meeting with President Biden.
