GAZA: Two more main hospitals in Gaza closed to new injured and patients on Sunday, with staff adding that Israeli airstrikes plus lack of medicine and fuel meant more babies, children and others could die.

Al-Quds and Al Shifa hospitals said that they were going to suspend operations. According to Reuters, with more people killed and injured on daily basis but half of the hospitals in Gaza now out of operation, there are always fewer spaces for the wounded people. Ahmed Al-Kahlout said, “My son was wounded and there was not a single hospital to take him for medical treatment.”

A doctor in Shifa said that they are facing a lot of problems to treat the people due to intense bombing of Israel.  Al Shifa was out of reach for the newly injured, a doctor said. It added, “Al Shifa hospital now is not working, no one is permitted in, nobody is permitted out.”

Similarly, the Palestinian Red Crescent stated Al-Quds hospital was out of service, with staff members struggling to care for those already in the hospital with little food, medicine, and water.

“Al Quds hospital has been cut off from the entire world” the Palestinian Red Crescent said. Sources said that about 80 aid trucks had moved from Egypt into the Gaza Strip by Sunday. Jordan said earlier that it had air-dropped a 2nd batch into a field hospital. Very little relief and aid has entered into the Gaza Strip since Israel declared war on Gaza more than a month ago.

Palestinian health authorities said Sunday around 13 people have been killed in recent Israeli air raid on a house in Khan Younis in southern Gaza. Palestinian officials said in a statement that more than 11,078 Gaza residents have also been killed in air and artillery attacks since October 7, about 40 percent of them children. Locals reported increased fighting near Al-Shati refugee camp, by the shore in northern Gaza.
