GAZA: Gaza’s Health Ministry has said that 92 people, including two young girls, were killed overnight in the Gaza strip’s southern city of Rafah, where displaced Palestinian people have been sheltering.
According to Arab media, in addition, concerns over a potential Israeli ground intrusion into Rafah have mounted in recent days, with hundreds of thousands of displaced people seeking refuge from the fighting there in temporary shelters and encampments.
The recent development took place as mediators are making a full-court press to seal a proposed ceasefire agreement thrashed out last week in France. But a top Hamas leader in Lebanon, Osama Hamdan, said that the proposed framework was missing some details. He said that they needed more time to “announce our stance.”
