Voluntary Repatriation of Afghan Refugees Surges Over 276,000 Return via Torkham Border

PESHAWAR: The voluntary repatriation process of Afghan citizens is witnessing a significant surge, with over 276,000 refugees returning to their country through the Torkham border.

The Home Department has reported that, to date, 271,724 Afghan refugees have returned via Torkham, while 3,759 returned through Angoor Ada, and 698 via Khar Lachi.

The repatriation procedures include thorough screening and necessary data collection to ensure a smooth and organized return for the refugees.

The continuous flow of voluntary repatriation highlights ongoing efforts to address the situation and facilitate the return of Afghan citizens to their home country.
