ISLAMABAD: Vietnam Ambassador to Pakistan Nguyen Tien Phong on Friday highlighted the remarkable economic development and prosperity that his country has achieved under the visionary leadership of the Communist Party.
In a special message on the occasion of Vietnam’s 78th Independence Day, Nguyen Tien Phong said that Vietnam’s journey towards progress was made possible through economic reforms initiated by its leadership.
Quoting the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Phu Trong, Ambassador Phong expressed the nation’s pride and determination to overcome challenges and continue on the path of comprehensive renewal. The 35-year implementation of the renewal process affirmed the wisdom and creativity of the Communist Party and people.
The ambassador underscored the pivotal role played by the Communist Party in Vietnam’s spectacular economic development over the past 37 years. Vietnam has evolved into a socialist-oriented market economy, engaged in 17 Free Trade Agreements, including high-standard next-generation FTAs, and established extensive economic links with major global economies.
Vietnam’s foreign policy, known as “Vietnam’s Bamboo Diplomacy,” has played a crucial role in maintaining peace and stability, defending national independence, and contributing to socioeconomic development. The nation’s international standing continues to rise, with active contributions to global peacekeeping missions and responsible participation in international issues.
Ambassador Phong expressed optimism about Vietnam’s future, with aspirations to become a developed, high-income country by 2045, marking the centennial of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. The country is committed to strengthening leadership, trust in the Party, and unity among its people while pursuing renewal, industrialization, and modernization.
