ISLAMABAD: The Uzbek President’s press service on Thursday stated that Uzbekistan plans to build as many as 250 micro-hydroelectric power plants. The power plants will aid in developing cleaning along with diversifying sources of energy.
These steps would help in meeting increasing domestic demand.
The statement added that blueprints regarding promising sites for constructing these plants had been submitted to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Power plants construction to generate 675 million KWh of electricity
Data from Uzbekistan’s official sources reveal that through these power plants, 200 million cubic meters of gas per year would be saved as around 675 million kilowatt hours of electricity would be generated.
