TASHKENT: Uzbekistan and Italy have agreed to enhance cooperation and partnership in diverse fields between the two sides, local media reported on Friday.
According to a statement issued by the Uzbek presidential press service, the agreement was made during a meeting between Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoev and Italian President Sergio Mattarella in Tashkent. In a joint statement, the two sides pledged to enhance partnership and cooperation between the two nations.

Uzbekistan, Italy Ink Agreements to Enhance Cooperation
The statement added that the presidents of Uzbekistan and Italy also inked agreements on cooperation in diverse fields. It added that the two head of states agreed to extend cooperation in science, education, innovations, technologies, and sports. They also singed an intergovernmental agreement of visa waiving for diplomatic passports holders. Mattarella started his three-day trip to Central Asia’s most-populous countries of 35 million on November 9.
