TASHKENT, Uzbekistan: Uzbekistan and Tajikistan have streamlined their cargo transportation process by eliminating the need for permits, known as “dozvols,” for trucks moving between the two countries.

This change, reported by Asia Plus, marks a significant improvement in the efficiency of cross-border logistics. Uzbekistan has completed the necessary domestic procedures to implement this new policy.

The removal of the permit requirement is expected to enhance the efficiency of more than 1,200 annual transit cargo shipments between the two nations. This reform is anticipated to reduce delivery times and lower the risk of cargo damage, facilitating smoother and more reliable trade between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
