ISLAMABAD: The US Dollar continued its upward surge against the Pakistani Rupee on Tuesday, having been traded at Rs219.75 against PKR in the Interbank.
Meanwhile, the greenback’s value in the open market was at Rs.222.4. The local currency went down by 86 paisa after Monday’s closure at Rs218.89, according to State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). PKR’s recent depreciation follows a cumulative recovery of Rs20.19, after it previously diminished to its record low of Rs239.94 against the dollar.
