ISLAMABAD: In an effort to uplift women-led start-ups and businesses in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and its Newly Merged Districts, USAID’s Economic Recovery and Development Activity (USAID-ERDA) held a two-day “Training on Business Proposal Writing” for female entrepreneurs and startups.
This initiative aims to address the increasing access to finance challenges and gender gaps faced by female entrepreneurs in the region.
Women entrepreneurs have considerable untapped potential in this region, but they face different challenges, including limited access to finance and inadequate business proposal writing skills.
The training empowers women-led enterprises to make compelling business proposals, enabling them to get funding to accelerate and expand their ventures and make a major impact in the private sector.
Anila Khalid, Vice president of the Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industries (WCCI), said that female entrepreneurs in KP have been facing challenges, including limited access to finance. USAID-ERDA’s ‘Business Proposal Writing’ training is a big step towards bridging this gap and empowering females to overcome obstacles in their entrepreneurial journey.
On the occasion, Chief of Party, USAID-ERDA Shad Muhammad said that they aim to enhance the technical knowledge and capacity of female entrepreneurs and startups in KP, enabling them to write winning business proposals and get financial resources. This training will contribute to economic growth by promoting females’ participation in business.
