BERLIN: The leaders of the United States (US), Germany, Britain, and France are set to hold discussions regarding the ongoing situation in Israel and the Palestinian Territories.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has confirmed the development. Speaking alongside French President Emmanuel Macron during a visit to the northern German port, Scholz said, “The US, Britain, France, and Germany are in agreement that the situation must not escalate further in the region. Therefore, no one should contribute to promoting violence under these circumstances.”
Macron expressed his “full solidarity” with the Israeli people and revealed that he had spoken with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier in the day. He emphasized that “Germany and France are standing with the Israeli people during this tragic moment.” Furthermore, he reaffirmed their commitment to peace as a shared objective.
