ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office of Pakistan’s spokesperson Asim Iftikhar has said that the United States officials have taken notice of the inappropriate behavior with finance minister Ishaq Dar at the Washington’s Dullas international airport.
He recalled that Saudi authorities had also taken notice when the government delegation was targeted by certain individuals during the visit. Ishaq Dar is in the United States to attend the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank and on his arrival at the Dulles International Airport in Washington, DC, a man threw insults at Dar.
The incident was highlighted on Thursday, in a video highly circulated on social media in which a man was abusing and mistreating the finance minister. Dar’s companion, Mani Butt, however, reacted, and the man then appeared to have stopped.
