WASHINGTON: The United States has condemned terrorist attacks in southwest province Balochistan of Pakistan. In a post on X, formerly Twitter, State Department’s Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs wrote: “The US strongly condemns the multiple attacks in Pakistan’s Balochistan province which took many lives. “Any violence disrupting stability and peace is indefensible. We stand with Pakistan in its fight against terrorism and we send our deepest condolences to those who lost their loved ones.”
Meanwhile, US Department of State spokesman Matthew Miller said that security personnel and civilians were targeted in the terrorist attacks in Pakistan. “Washington and Islamabad have a common interest in dealing with threats to regional security,” he said.
Balochistan witnessed one the deadliest terrorist attacks on Monday that left over 50 dead, including civilians, police and security personnel in a single day. The attacks sent shock waves across the country, drawing condemnations from the foreign countries.
