RIYADH: US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has expressed concern with actions by the Houthis that are cutting Yemenis off from resources and hindering the flow of goods in Yemen.

He made the remarks during a meeting with Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Rashad Al-Alimi, Blinken in Riyadh on Thursday. The US top diplomat said that parties in Yemen must “come together to reach a fresh and a comprehensive deal to end the conflict”.
He welcomed the Presidential Leadership Council’s continued support for UN-backed peace efforts and for steps to bring immediate relief to people in Yemen. The US Secretary of State reiterated that UN-backed peace process will give people the opportunity to resolve issues in the country.
