US Resolves to Strengthen Relations with Pakistan

WASHINGTON: On Pakistan’s 76th Independence Day, the United States (US) government has extended its well-wishes to the Pakistani people, expressing its eagerness to strengthen the strong partnership between the two countries for a more prosperous future.

In a statement released by the State Department on Monday, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken emphasized the significance of the 76-year-long relationship between Washington and Islamabad. He underscored the commitment to advancing comprehensive economic growth, ensuring energy security, and bolstering peace and regional security as collaboration continues.

“As we embark on another year of cooperation and with Pakistan gearing up for elections, we foresee advancements in comprehensive economic growth, energy security, and regional peace and stability,” he added.

Blinken reiterated the US support for Pakistan’s economic progress, highlighting the shared dedication to democratic principles and the rule of law that guide their partnership forward.

US Friendship with Pakistan

Earlier today, US Consulate General in Karachi, Nicole Theriot, said that the strong relationship between the two countries is based on common interests in economic development, mutual prosperity, and regional security.

Theriot congratulated the people of Pakistan on its Independence Day alongside 76 years of bilateral relations between the two nations.

He further said that Washington remains dedicated to our friendship with Islamabad to anticipate our relations.
