Casey DeSantis Arises as Pivotal Symbol on 2024 Campaign
According to Reuters, Casey DeSantis is emerging as a key figure in her husband’s bid to win over former President Donald Trump supporters. On the track in the early voting states, she has combined an aggressive defence of her husband’s record as governor with stories about the challenges of raising their three kids, ages three, five, and six. Casey DeSantis’s remarks in New Hampshire elicited laughter and clapping.
“He doesn’t recoil and never takes the trail of least resistance and always stands up for what is right,” Casey DeSantis said.” Some Republicans said they thought she could help soften the perception of her husband, who has been criticized for being rigid and lacking charm. Many lauded her and said that she was very supportive and very intelligent.
Casey DeSantis’s involvement on the path could clearly contrast Donald Trump, who holds rallies without his wife Melania. Similarly, Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka said she would not participate in her father’s bid against President Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential election.
At the Laconia on Thursday, Casey DeSantis stayed in the main hall, greeting voters and political workers and posing for pictures.
Doug Lambert, a political leader in New Hampshire, said that the state was the most conservative region, and he was impressed with Casey DeSantis’s focus on matters facing her kids and family. Doug Lambert said her remarks had helped solidify his support and help for the governor of Florida.
Polls suggested former president Donald Trump is supported by 49% of Republicans, with Ron DeSantis in a distant second position at 19%.
